DJCARD GUIDE

How to prepare a technical rider for a DJ performance

What to include in a DJ rider: decks, mixer, monitors, connections and arrangements with the promoter.

What is a technical rider?

A technical rider lists your equipment and backstage requirements. It helps promoters prepare your performance and resolve differences between the venue's equipment and what you need. Specify models and acceptable alternatives.

Decks and mixer

List the number and type of decks, mixer inputs and media you use. If you bring a controller or laptop, explain the connections, space and power required. Do not assume every club has the same setup.

Monitors and working space

Describe booth monitoring, a stable table, your equipment dimensions and safe cable routing. For outdoor events, agree weather protection and responsibility for setup.

Contact and confirmation before the event

Add a contact for technical questions. Date the rider and confirm with the promoter what will actually be available. Sending the rider alone does not replace an agreement.

Your rider on DJcard

In Settings → Press kit, enter your technical rider text or upload a document. Once saved, promoters can find it in your press kit and complete ZIP. Do not include private information you do not want to publish.
