DJCARD GUIDE

How to send a DJ booking pitch

A concise DJ pitch: the right contact, a representative set, a press kit and clear performance arrangements.

Choose the right promoter

First check the music and events the venue or promoter programmes. Explain why you fit their lineup. Sending the same message to everyone rarely addresses their particular programming.

Write a short, specific message

Introduce your DJ name, city and musical style. Add one or two real experiences relevant to the event. Leave out long biographies, large attachments and claims you cannot support.

Send one current link

A press kit can combine your bio, a representative set, references, photos, rider and booking contact. Open it while signed out before sharing and check that music and downloads work without your account.

Agree the terms explicitly

Before confirming a gig, agree the date, venue, set length, fee, travel, equipment and contact person. A press kit is a presentation; commercial terms need a separate agreement.

Keep your information current

Update your profile when you add a set or change contact details. You can keep using the same DJcard link in emails and social media.
